Woman Sexually Assaulted in Columbia College Dorm

A woman was sexually assaulted in a Columbia College residence hall in the South Loop early Friday morning, according to Chicago police. 

Authorities said a 20-year-old woman was sleeping in a dorm in the 600 block of S Clark St at 4:15 a.m. when a man is his 20s sexually assaulted her.

She was able to push him off and alert others in the room, police said. He fled the scene.

The victim took herself to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to police. A rape kit was administered, and she was released in good condition.

No one is in custody, and authorities continue to investigate.
