An Elgin mother was sentenced to community service for encouraging her teen daughter to beat up her rival.
According to the Chicago Tribune, 47-year-old Anita Joost pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Police say Joost drove her 16-year-old daughter to meet with a 15-year-old girl she was feuding with last April. The other girl wanted to talk things out, Joost encouraged her daughter to "kick some ass," leading to a physical fight that was recorded by onlookers.
Joost was fined and sentenced to 150 hours of community service, according to the newspaper.
