Woman Charged with Stabbing, Beating Husband with Baseball Bat

She was ordered held on $3 million bond Saturday

Prosecutors say a suburban Chicago woman accused of killing her husband by stabbing him and beating him with a baseball bat has suffered from delusions.

DuPage County Assistant State's Attorney Anne Theriau says 48-year-old Anka Miscevic of Lombard had been diagnosed with delusional disorder, major depressive disorder and possible bipolar disorder in 2011.

The Daily Herald reports that Miscevic admitted stabbing her husband on Thursday while he slept. She was ordered held on $3 million bond Saturday.

Theriau says Miscevic told police she felt something bad was going to happen to her and her family on the day of the killing.

According to Theriau, the woman was taking prescribed psychotropic medications and had been hospitalized for mental health issues three times last year.
