Woman, 21, Dies After Shooting on Northwest Side

The shooting happened in the 4800 block of West Wolfram Street

A 21-year-old woman died after she was shot in the head during a shooting in the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side Saturday morning.

The woman was shot in the head around 9:10 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Wolfram Street, said police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.

A dectective on the scene told Chicago Tribune the woman's death was domestic related.

She was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in "extremely critical" condition, said Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.

The Cook County medical examiner's office was notified that the woman had later died but no further details were available, according to a spokesman.
