The pressure is off for Conor Dwyer.
Dwyer, a Winnetka native, earned his ticket to London Monday after he followed Peter Vanderkaay to this finish line in the 400-meter freestyle.
An underdog in the event, Dwyer had no intention of coming out on top -- but he did. It was the first time he competed in the 400-meter freestyle in two years.
The 23-year-old holds titles as an NCAA champ in the 200-meter and the 500-meter.
His featured race, the 200-meter, begins Tuesday and Dwyer can swim easy knowing his ticket to London is already secured.
