From powerful winds to near-record warmth to plummeting temps, Chicago is set to see a wild 24 hours of weather.

A Wind Advisory takes effect at 3 p.m. in several counties across the metropolitan area.

The advisory, which remains in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday, warns of wind gusts of up to 50 mph. Gusts at that speed could make driving difficult and could bring hazardous conditions to some areas.

Despite the high winds, temperatures are supposed to reach into the low- to mid-60s, reaching close to record levels for Chicago. The record-high temperature for Dec. 4 is 66 degrees.
