WATCH: Man Chases Cab Down Michigan Avenue After Crosswalk Incident

It is not clear from the clip if the cab driver did in fact hit the pedestrian, but the man is seen dodging the driver then chasing him down Michigan Avenue

A pedestrian walking in Chicago chased down a cab driver he says clipped him while he was walking through a crosswalk, and the incident was captured on camera.

Scott Raymond posted footage from his dashcam on YouTube Tuesday showing a cab making a left turn off Lake Street and onto Michigan Avenue.

It is not clear from the video if the cab driver did in fact hit the pedestrian, but the man is seen dodging the driver then chasing him down Michigan Avenue.

The footage was later posted to the Chicago Reddit page.

“I suspect that the taxi clipped him while he was crossing in the crosswalk, but the video isn’t at the right angle to tell for sure,” Raymond wrote on the Reddit page. “Why else would he give chase like that?”

Reddit user “luminez” later commented on the link, claiming to be the man chasing the cab in the video.

“The walk symbol was on,” he wrote. “This driver pulled up into the intersection and tried to go too early.”

He said a lawyer is involved and the video is being used for a police report.

Chicago Police News Affairs said they had no record of the incident.

On Thursday, Larry Ionescu posted footage claiming to be from the cab driver's dashcam. The video was titled "Taxi 1258 the true version."

"Driver waiting at the light, pushes the horn to let people know that they have a red light," Ionescu wrote. "And then the driver is being assaulted. Unbelievable."

Though it remains unclear if the driver did hit the pedestrian, the new footage was once again posted to Reddit, with users questioning why the cabbie fled the scene.

According to city records, taxi no. 1258 is a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria owned by Grasu Cab Corp.
