Victim's Family Searches For Answers in May Deadly Shooting Along 606 Trail in Logan Square

Alejandro Aguado, 22, of Portage Ind., was shot and killed on May 28

Family and friends of a young father who was gunned down in May on the 606 trail on Chicago’s Northwest Side met on Saturday to plead for answers about his killing.

Alejandro Aguado, 22, of Portage Ind., was shot on May 28 while walking with two friends. Three men approached, demanded to know if the three were in a gang, and then opened fire. Aguado was taken to Norwegian Hospital where he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Family members said Alejandro was a good person who worked two jobs to support his two-year-old daughter.

On Saturday, Aguado’s family pleaded with anyone with information on the unsolved homicide to come forward.

“Hopefully they find the people or person who killed my son, that would bring me a lot of comfort,” said Salvador Aguado, father of the victim.

The shooting was being investigated as a random incident, police said in May.
