Unclaimed $1M Winning North Suburban Lottery Ticket Set to Expire

An unclaimed $1 million winning lottery ticket sold in north suburban Glenview will expire in less than a month.

The Quick Pick ticket was sold Jan. 13 at Citgo Food Mart at 915 Greenwood Road in Glenview and matched all five winning numbers – 04 – 08 – 19 – 27 – 34 – and the Powerball number was 10, according to a statement from the Illinois Lottery. Winners have up to one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

The prize can be claimed at one of five Illinois Lottery prize centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Springfield, Rockford or Fairview Heights, lottery officials said. Under Illinois Lottery Law, unclaimed prizes are transferred to either the Common School Fund or the Capital Projects Fund.

The gas station received a bonus of $10,000, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
