Cloudy skies and cooler temps have many in Chicago asking if summer will ever be here to stay.
Give it one more day.
Wednesday will bring more sunshine and warming temps as the city returns to typical June conditions.
Temperatures are expected to rise in the low- to mid-80s, though cooler along the lakefront. They should stay there through the end of the work week, though Friday will see a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms.
The weekend, however, will bring with it a heat wave of sorts as temperatures reach to near 90 degrees. Conditions will likely stay partly to mostly cloudy Saturday with showers and storms possible, but by Sunday, mostly sunny and hot conditions are forecast.
