TOC Ready to Unveil Most Delicious Awards

Time Out readers finally learn who is the best of the best as Eat Out award winners are announced

You ate. You loved. You voted.

Now, the winners will be unveiled at Time Out Chicago's 5th Annual Eat Out Awards

This invite-only celebration for the coveted awards will take place Monday night in the Modern Wing of the Chicago Art Institute.

Over the past few months, professional and self-proclaimed foodies have flooded the nominated locations to taste the best dishes these Chicago chefs have to offer.

The voting was done online where Time Out readers decided on categories ranging from Best New Restaurant and Breakout Chef of the Year to Best Dessert Truck and Best New Pub Grub. A few recognizable nominees for this year include Stephanie Izard's Girl and the Goat up for Best Restaurant, Bangers & Lace up for Best New Bar, and Lillie's Q up for Best New Barbecue. Time Out Chicago has organized the Eat Out awards since 2007. While critics get to weigh in for a few awards, readers decide on the majority. The first annual Eat Out awards saw 4,000 votes in their online poll. In 2010, 7,500 voters filled out online ballots or texted their favorite picks.

2010 Reader's Choice winners included XOCO for Best New Restaurant and Best New Mexican Restaurant, Hot Doug's for Most Worth the Wait, and Five Guys Burger and Fries for the Best New Burger Joint.

Those who aren't able to attend Monday's ceremony can read all about the winners in the April 14 issue of the magazine.
