Teen Used Stun Gun on Students at Suburban High School: Police

A 17-year-old student brought a stun gun to a south suburban high school Friday morning and used it on four students at the school, officials said.

The incident, which took place at Shepard High School in Palos Heights, sent one student to the hospital, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.

Police said the teen brought the stun gun to the school and around 9:15 a.m. used it on four other male students ranging from 14 to 17 years old.

Authorities said the device did not shoot prongs and no injuries were reported but one student was taken to the hospital at the request of his parent.

The 17-year-old from Alsip was taken into custody and is being charged as a juvenile with four counts of aggravated battery and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
