A Warrensville man was charged with DUI Friday following an accident that killed his 18-year-old passenger.
Police say Karlos Leath, 31, was driving south on Shaffner Road in Wheaton at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday when his Ford Explorer veered off the roadway and flipped over.
The female passenger, whose identity was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Leath also suffered minor injuries.
He is charged with two counts of aggravated DUI in an accident causing death.
Shaffner road was closed for several hours following the crash while investigators cleared the scene.
