Taste of Park Ridge Chairman Arrested

An FBI search finds two rifles, one handgun and ammunition

A Taste of Park Ridge chairman was charged Wednesday with firearm violations after an FBI search.

Albert Galus, of the 1000 block of Peterson Avenue, was arrested Dec. 21 and charged with three counts of possession of a firearm and possession of firearm ammunition, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Galus, 44, did not have a valid Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card, police said.

Although the purpose of the search has not been revealed, police found two assault rifles, one handgun and ammunition in Galus' home, according to the Tribune.

The Taste of Park Ridge, which typically takes place in early July, is a community event held in Uptown Park Ridge.
