Suburban Teen Charged With Murdering Father

A son who planned to rob his own father wound up taking part in the man’s murder, police told the Chicago Tribune.

The crime happened Thursday in 1000 block of North Wilshire Lane in Arlington Heights, at the home of George Nellessen. The 55-year-old was found dead in the house, bound to a chair with duct tape, his mouth gagged.

Police charged four men with armed robbery and first-degree murder, the Tribune reported. One of those men is 19-year-old Mathew Nellessen, the victim’s son.

Police said the four men hatched a plan to rob Mathew Nellessen’s father at his home, but they wound up killing him there. An autopsy showed he died of “multiple sharp force injuries.”

The three other suspects are all from Chicago. They are Marlon Green, 20, Armon Braden, 20, and Azari Braden, 19. They’re all due in bond court Monday in Rolling Meadows.
