Illinois State Police this morning surrounded a semi truck near an underpass on the Bishop Ford freeway at the Dan Ryan.
The driver of the vehicle was apparently agitated and possibly armed. State police were in a stand off situation until about 8:10 a.m. when the driver appeared to throw something from his cab.
Police moved in a handcuffed the driver after he tossed the object.
It's unclear why the incident began.
