Holiday shoppers hoping to get an early start on Black Friday should check their lists twice. Some retailers will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.
In a recent survey, percent of consumers believe businesses should be closed on the holiday and it seems some companies agree.
Here is a list of stores that are not open on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28:

Though some stores will only be closed for the holiday, others are closed for both Thanksgiving and Black Friday. For instance, all REI employees will be paid to take time off and be with family and friends, according to the REI President Jerry Stritzke.
