Shake Shack's New Chicago Location Will Be in Wrigleyville

Chicago Cubs fans will soon be able to dine at Shake Shack after a game at Wrigley Field.

The burger chain told the Chicago Tribune it will open a fourth Chicago location in the new Wrigleyville development slated to finish construction in mid-2018, near the intersection of Addison and Clark streets and just south of the ballpark.

Being built by M&R Development and Bucksbaum Retail Properties, the massive development will cover 2.3 acres of the North Side neighborhood and also include an upscale 10-screen movie theater and about 150 condos.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and developers broke ground on the project in early August.

New York-based Shake Shack first came to Chicago in 2014 with a location in the River North neighborhood. Since then the fast food favorite has opened additional locations in the Loop and at Old Orchard Mall in suburban Skokie.

Shake Shack’s Wrigleyville location will be at 3535 N. Clark St., the Chicago Tribune reports, where the old Goose Island bar and restaurant used to be found. It is expected to open in 2019, according to the Tribune.
