Sex Offender Arrested Near Wrigley Field

8-year-old held against will near Wrigley Field

A registered sex offender held an 8-year-old boy against his will inside a Wrigleyville restroom, police say.

Cortez Lewis, 29, made inappropriate contact with the boy in a McDonald's restaurant outside Wrigley Field Tuesday, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.  

Lewis was charged with felony unlawful restraint and felony to register as a sex offender within 10 days, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.  He was also charged battery and disorderly conduct, both of which are misdemeanors.

Lewis will appear in bond court today.

Cortez Lewis was convicted of unlawful restraint when he was 28-years-old. The victim in that case was 10-years-old, according to the Illinois Sex Offender website.
