Several Students Hospitalized After Becoming Ill at Chicago School: Officials

As many as six students were hospitalized Thursday after falling ill at their school in Chicago, police said.

Ambulances were called just before 1 p.m. to the 900 block of North Central Avenue, where five to six 13-year-old boys “became ill,” according to authorities.

The boys were transported to West Suburban Medical Center where their conditions weren’t immediately known.

Police could not say what caused the boys to become ill, but fire officials said at least two of the teens ingested an uknown substance.
