A Willowbrook couple filed a lawsuit Wednesday accusing a school bus driver of sexually abusing their young children.

The lawsuit alleges the driver abused the couple's 3-year-old twins from October through January during rides to and from special education classes at Gower West Elementary, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The lawsuit claims the bus driver rearranged the bus schedule to be alone with the twins before dropping them off near their Willowbrook home.

The Sun-Times reports a four-month investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services substantiated the parents' claims of abuse.

The DuPage County Circuit Court ordered the driver to have no contact with the family and added the driver's name to the state's child abuse and neglect registry.

At this time, the DuPage County State's Attorney's office has no further information regarding criminal charges in connection to the case.
