Schaumburg Cop Sentenced On Drug Charges

A former Schaumburg police officer was sentenced to 26 years in prison Tuesday on drug charges.

Matthew Hudak was one of three tactical officers arrested last year, accused of re-selling drugs they took from dealers through their own suburban drug operation.

Unbeknownst to them, a drug dealer they utilized was working as an informant for investigators.

The three were arrested in an undercover sting.

Hudak, 29, is expected to serve at least 13 years of his sentence.

The former officer apologized for his actions in court Tuesday.
