Police arrested a CTA rider Thursday evening after the man reportedly made a homemade tribute to the late Ron Santo with a permanent marker.

Officers reportedly saw 48-year-old Ron Brakes writing ""Good! Buy! Ron Santo! Cubs Best Cub Thirt-Baseman Forever Love Always God,’’ with a Sharpie marker on the wall of the Grand Avenue Red Line stop. News affairs officers wouldn't confirm the incident, but officers on the scene told reporters from STNG Wire about the incident.

When asked what he was doing, Brakes reportedly replied he attended Santo's visitation and was "trying to do a good thing."

Brakes is charged with criminal defacement of property and possession of a marker with intent to deface.
