Ryder Cup Golfers Tee Off From Trump, Aim for Barge in Chicago River

Ryder Cup Captains Davis Love III and Jose Maria Olazabal participated in one of the cooler golf events you'll see in Chicago.

The pro golfers hit balls off the 16th floor Trump Tower Terrace aiming for a golf green built on a barge that floated in the Chicago River.

"It's moving," said a surprised Davis Love III before his first practice shot.

Each of the golfers took three tries at making the 220-yard approach shot.

Both Love III and Olazabal laned one on the green meaning the the Ryder Cup Magnificent Moments campaign will donate $100,000 to the PGA Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charites of Chicagoland and Northwest, Indiana.

"I can't believe how short it played," Love said.  Both golfers used a 7-iron to land the shot.

If they would have hit a hole-in-one the amount  would have doubled.

The Ryder Cup will come to Chicago this year and be played at Medinah Country Club.
