Broken Water Main Floods Rush Med Center Building

A water main break on the Rush University Medical Center campus flooded part of an office building early Sunday.

According to ChicagoBreakingNews, security officers found the break around 5:30 a.m. A sub-basement, basement and part of the first floor of a hospital office building were flooded. The building is located at 1725 W. Harrison St., according to the site.

The building, which is used for outpatient care, is closed on weekends, and no patients were inside, a Rush spokeswoman said.

Water has been shut off, but it's not clear how long it will take to repair the damage.
