Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney returns to President Barack Obama's home base Tuesday for a fund-raising event.
After a speech in Des Moines, Romney is scheduled to attend a 5 p.m. event at the Winnetka home of Aon founder Pat Ryan, who chaired Chicago's 2016 Olympic bid committee.
Upwards of $2.3 million is expected to be raised by 60 Chicago area guests paying a minimum of $25,000 to attend.
Obama arrives in Chicago this weekend for the NATO Summit held Sunday and Monday at McCormick Place.
