Thursday marks the last day runners can register for the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
All applications are due by 2 p.m. CST for the 2018 event, which will be held on Oct. 7, 2018.
Guaranteed entry applications for the marathon opened Oct. 24 and non-guaranteed registration began Oct. 31.
Participants can qualify for guaranteed entry based on a previous marathon time, legacy finisher status or entry with an international or charity group.
For time qualifiers, the marathon will implement a new system this year based on age and gender to determine who is eligible for guaranteed entry.
Runners who do not qualify for automatic entry but wish to run the 2018 marathon can submit an application, which will be entered into a lottery. Results will be emailed to all applicants on Dec. 12.
