Get your running shoes ready.

Registration for the 36th Annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon begins at noon Tuesday.  To sign-up for the Oct. 13 race, head to chicagomarathon.com -- and hurry.  Last year all 45,000 entries were filled within a record-setting six days.

On Monday three-time U.S. Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein donned the first racing bib of the marathon at the House of Blues and led 200 Chicago runners on a fun run along the Riverwalk. Ritzenhein was the top American finisher in the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

As one of the six most prestigious World Marathon Majors, the Chicago Marathon is an international race and is one of the city's highlighted events attracting almost 1.7 million spectators along the course through 29 neighborhoods.

Fees to enter this year's marathon are $175 for U.S. participants and $200 for participators outside of the U.S.
