Police Warn of State Street Cologne Thefts

When confronted by store security, police said the man threatens to use a weapon and flees the store on foot.

This State Street shoplifter may or may not be one of the best smelling shoplifters in Chicago.

In a community alert Friday, police warned retail store employees in the Loop of a string of robberies this month where a man steals bottles of cologne without paying.

Police said at least two of the thefts took place in the last month and a similar incident was reported in March, all of which took place in the 0-100 block of State Street.
