Someone shot at a Chicago Police sergeant Saturday morning in the city's Little Village neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

The Area Central detective sergeant was sitting in an unmarked squad car just before 2 a.m. at 26 Street and St. Louis Avenue when someone fired at the vehicle, according to authorities.

The officer wasn't injured in the shooting, officials said.

Police searched nearby rooftops between 26th Street and Drake and Homan Avenues, but said no one was in custody Saturday morning.
