Cop, Motorcyclist Injured in Head-on Crash

Motorcyclist had broken bones after collision, says police

A head-on collision between a motorcycle and Chicago police SUV on the South Side hurt an officer and a motorcyclist.
 
The motorcycle hit the marked squad car in the 8500 block of S. South Chicago Avenue, said police. 
 
The man riding the motorcycle was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition with some broken bones, Officer Hector Alfaro told the Chicago Tribune
 
The injured officer was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition.
 
It’s unclear whether police issued any tickets in the crash.
