Chicago Heights police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old boy.

The infant died Friday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The boy was being treated for numerous injuries, including multiple rib fractures and hemorrhaging in the brain, at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn Thursday, the report says. The Department of Children and Family Services alerted police of his condition that morning.
