Police are investigating a potentially fatal accident in West Chicago this morning involving a pickup truck and a semi.
NBC video shows the whole front end of a pickup slid under the back of a semi. The accident happened near Dupage County Airport on Powis and Harvester roads. Powis is shut down to through traffic.
In a separate incident, a 26-year-old Matteson woman was severely injured last night after she lost control of her Dodge Caliber on icy I-80 roads and crashed into a parked semi, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The car was ripped open and the driver was pinned inside her car. She was taken to Munster Community Hospital, the Tribune reports.
It happened in the westbound lanes of I-80 east of the state line.
