Police believe these three men were part of a gang that mugged Billy Corgan's brother on the Red Line.

Chicago police have released surveillance photos of three suspects who police believe attacked and robbed a 35-year-old Jesse Anderson -- rocker Billy Corgan's brother -- aboard a CTA Red Line train on Thursday.

The photos capture three of the five suspects in the strong-arm robbery, which occurred aboard the train in the early morning hours near the Chicago station.

In a bulletin Saturday, police urged residents to be careful in light of the recent robberies.

People should walk with a companion or group whenever possible; remain aware of their surroundings, especially when using a cell phone or MP3 player; and report suspicious activity immediately, giving a detailed description to police of the suspicious persons, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call Belmont Area detectives at (312) 744-8263.
