Person of Interest Being Questioned in Fatal Stabbing of Software CEO

A person of interest was being questioned Wednesday in connection with the murder of a software company CEO, who was fatally stabbed during an altercation in Chicago last month, police said.

The development comes more than a week after friends and family mourned 55-year-old Mike Beedle, CEO of Enterprise Scrum.

Police say Beedle was fatally stabbed near an alley in the 400 block of State Street, not far from where friends said he would teach.

Officers had been eyeing a homeless man as a suspect in what police believe could have been a robbery.

Beedle's fiance said they and their young children were trying leave "dangerous" Chicago before his death.

Beedle, of Park Ridge, coauthored the “Agile Manifesto” which is used across the world to help companies move faster.

Police said an investigation remained ongoing Wednesday.
