Sarah Palin wants Highland Park High School's girls basketball team to "go rogue".

Palin harangued Chicago Republicans about the issue Wednesday night during her speech, and now she's reportedly asked WIND-560 radio host Amy Jacobson to help her organize a backlash against the school.

The Sun-Times’ Michael Sneed printed an e-mail exchange between the two:

"I'm going to Arizona on Saturday ... and Amy, let's think of something we can do to show the girls we are willing to help,” Palin reportedly wrote in an e-mail to Jacobson after the event.  “I can raise money for them. You can speak for me on this. It was great meeting you last night. We are on the same page."

The pair has already started a Facebook page to get the word out.

It’s not clear that the duo can do much about the issue.

Assistant school superintendent Suzan Hebson claimed safety concerns in canceling the trip.

"We would want to ensure that all of our students had the opportunity to be included and be safe and be able to enjoy the experience," Hebson said of the tournament, which will be played in December. "We wouldn't necessarily be able to guarantee that."

Palin has encouraged the girls’ basketball team to “go rogue,” in her speech and in a Facebook posting.
