Police Say Auto Shop Owner Likely Abducted

Police search for missing business owner

Orland Park police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing auto body shop owner they believe may have been abducted.

Ibrahim Nofal, who owns Lightning Auto, 15563 70th Court in Orland Park went missing July 14, according to the Southtown Star.

Nofal's brother reported him missing after he found the overhead garage door to his repair shop wide open and nobody around.

Orland Park police say there are no signs of foul play.

The Orland Park police department says video surveillance from a nearby business showed a vehicle described as a light colored Jeep Grand Cherokee, four doors, with a luggage rack on the roof, parked near the Lightning Auto business at approximately 6:30pm. Orland Park police believe it is possible that Ibrahim Nofal was inside the Jeep when it left the area, the Southtown Star reports

It is unknown if the 28-year old left the business under his own will.

Orland Police are investigating the case as a potential abduction. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Orland Park Police Department Investigations Division at 708-349-4111.
