Ohio State Warns Students, Staff of Anonymous Online Threat

Ohio State University issued a warning to staff and students about an “anonymous threat of violence” to the campus community that was posted online.

The university didn’t explain the nature of the threat or provide any details, except that it referred to it occurring Tuesday.

A mass email went out overnight, urging people to “be observant and aware,” and that campus police "are working alongside law enforcement partners" to investigate the threat.

"See something, say something," the announcement reads.

All campuses were open and operating as normal despite the warning.

School officials have asked students or staff who see suspicious behavior to report to OSU Police by calling 614-292-212.
