Off-Duty Cop Robbed of Police Star, Wallet

The officer was not hurt, police said

Detectives are searching for two men who robbed an off-duty police officer at gun point and stole his police star and wallet.

They robbed the officer early Wednesday in the 9700 block of South Wentworth Avenue on Chicago's South Side, according to Chicago Police. The officer was walking home around 1 a.m. when he was approached by the two men.

The officer was not hurt, and the men did not get away with his service weapon, police said.

So far no arrests have been made.
