Oak Park Man Found Dead in his Garage

Police say his wife found him dead in garage bleeding from the head

A 41-year-old postal employee from Oak Park Was found dead in his garage Thursday morning.

Authorities believe Pedro Gurrola Jr. was leaving for work around 6:45 a.m when he was killed, according to police..

A few hours later, his wife found him dead,  in the garage behind their home located in the 800 block of South East Avenuewith blood seeping from his head.

Gurrola's car, a 1997, four-door, red or maroon Chevrolet Lumina, bearing Illinois license plate 8479360 was reported missing.

The Daily Herald reports Gurrola has been working as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Buffalo Grove for about seven years.

Police say this is not a random attack and are looking into several leads.

The cause of death is still under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning.
