NATO Summit Cancels Saturday Marriage Ceremonies

The Cook County Building will shut down this weekend

If you want to get married this weekend at the Cook County Building, you're out of luck.

No marriages or civil unions will be performed Saturday at 119 W. Randolph in Chicago. About 75 marriages and civil unions are performed there most Saturdays, according to the Circuit Court.

The building will reopen Monday morning.

On Friday afternoon, cases to be heard in traffic courtrooms on the concourse level of Daley Center have been rescheduled. The Office of Clerk of the Circuit Court has mailed notices to those involved, but court officials urge you to check the Cook County Clerk's website for updated information.
