More Charges for Man Who Killed Girl in DUI Crash

Glen Higginbotham hit a vehicle near Joliet early Christmas morning, police said

A Yorkville man who served time for killing a little girl in a 1999 drunk driving crash once again faces drunk driving charges.

Glen Higginbotham Jr., 33, is charged with drunk driving, driving in the wrong lane, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, having unsafe tires and driving on a revoked license, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Will County Police say Higginbotham hit a vehicle on New Lenox Road near Joliet early Christmas morning. Driving off, he allegedly pulled into a parking lot with sparks coming from his wheel and refused a breath test.

He’s also awaiting trial for a drunk driving arrest earlier in December.

Higginbotham was sentenced to seven years in prison for causing a 1999 accident that killed 10-year-old Candace “Candi” Graham in Lockport.
