Missing Chicago Teen Found

The teen went missing on January 18 from the Northwest side of the city

A 15-year-old girl who went missing last week was found overnight in downtown Chicago.

Kassandra Medina was spotted late Tuesday near State and Lake Streets by community activist Andrew Holmes, according to the Chicago Tribune.

It appears the girl first told Holmes that she was waiting for a ride, but then later confessed to be the missing teen, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Medina had been missing since Jan. 18 and was last seen on the 4900 block of West Cuyler Avenue, according to Chicago police.

Reports indicate the girl is being examined at an area hospital, but is expected to return home.
