Midway Airport was not its usual busy self today.
Perhaps that had something to do with Southwest Airlines cancelling all of its flights in and out of the South Side airport, about 140 flights.
Southwest makes up about 80 percent of the airport's traffic.
Not everyone was grounded, though. At least a few passengers were able to escape the airport and one way or another.
One woman who was stranded when her San Diego to St. Louis flight was held over in Chicago was trying to catch a bus that could take her the rest of the way.
