Michigan Ave. Mag Celebrates Five Years in Print

Michigan Avenue Magazine celebrated five years in print, Thursday,  with an over-the-top birthday bash highlighted with a performance by Michelle Williams.

Williams, who starred on the cover of the magazine’s summer issue, joined President and Publisher Dan Uslan and Editor in Chief J.P. Anderson and many others at the event at the Langham Chicago Hotel.

The event was sponsored by BMO Harris Bank and featured cocktails by Russian Standard Vodka.

The Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter performed tunes, including “If We Had Your Eyes,” off her highly acclaimed new album.

Governor Pat Quinn’s office proclaimed the day as “Michigan Avenue Magazine Day,” honoring the publication for its commitment to Chicago’s social and cultural groups and for chronicling the best of the region and celebrating Chicago as a world-class city, according to a release from the magazine.

Michigan Avenue Magazine, which launched in 2008, is Chicago’s luxury lifestyle publication, which follows the renowned people, culture, politics and parties in a glossy, oversized format.
