Michelle Obama has turned on her Chicago roots.
The First Lady, it seems, has become a New York Style Pizza fan. Egads!
The First Lady took her mother, daughters, and three of their friends to Grimaldi’s Pizza in Brooklyn this week while they were in town for a Broadway show.
While she was there she told Rafal Harajda, the waiter who served the group “It was better than Chicago pizza” according to the City Room.
Harajda later clarified his quote saying the First Lady told him: “It’s the best pizza, and I’m from Chicago,” reported the Gothamist.
The waiter was shocked at how much nicer the First Lady was than he expected.We're shocked she was eating pizza, what with her healthy eating initiative.
“I really have to say that she was very very nice and I was pleasantly surprised,” said Harajda. “I was expecting her to have her nose in the clouds, but she was nothing like that,” reported the City Room.
