Michael Jackson's Kids, Mother Coming to Gary

The late singer's children will attend a candlelight vigil marking his birthday

Prince Michael I, Prince Michael II and Paris Jackson will visit 2300 Jackson Street in their late father’s hometown.

A spokesperson for their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, said in a statement that Michael Jackson’s children and his mother will attend birthday tributes for the pop icon later this month in Gary, Ind., the Associated Press reports.

Katherine Jackson recently lost custody of the late singer's children after she went missing for more than a week. She is trying to regain guardianship as the family's drama continues.

A candlelight vigil is planned outside the Jacksons’ former home on Aug. 29. That would mark the King of Pop’s 54th birthday.

The celebration is titled: “Goin’ Back to Indiana: Can You Feel It?" Organizers set up a Facebook page to keep fans up-to-date.

The events are scheduled to run through Sept. 1.
