In the land of the McNugget you might be surprised to hear that the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Tender is king.
That’s what McDonald’s tells TODAY Food after executives were taken by surprise when the "craveable and delicious tenders" began to sell so well. So fans of the new addition might be aghast to learn they will be taking a hiatus from McDonald’s menus across the country.
"Our customers are lovin’ our new buttermilk crispy tenders. Because demand far surpassed our expectations, we will soon take a brief break from serving them at our restaurants," a McDonald's representative told TODAY Food via email.
The buttermilk crispy tenders will, however, return by late December, the spokesperson told TODAY.
