A South Side man who allegedly pretended to be a woman before sexually assaulting two sisters and threatening to kill them if they told was ordered held without bond Saturday.
Jamelia Sanders, 36, was charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault for allegedly attacking two sisters, ages 7 and 9, at their home. Sanders was a family friend who "presented himself" as a woman, Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Laura Ayala-Gonzalez said.
The younger child, whom Sanders would take out to eat or to the movies, was allegedly assaulted between 2007 and 2008. Her sister was allegedly attacked between January and this month.
Authorities said they were notified of the attacks when the victims told family members.
