Man Wanted for Sexually Assaulting Two Teens

Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted two teens in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, officials said.

The first incident took place last Thursday in the 2400 block of W. 65th Street around 6:30 a.m. when a male offender, armed with a knife, approached an 18-year-old woman from behind and forced her into an alley where he sexually assaulted her and fled the scene, according to a community alert issued by Chicago Police News Affairs.

A similar incident occurred Saturday in the 6500 block of S. Campbell Avenue when a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man armed with a knife, the alert said.

The offender is described as a black male, 30-40 years of age, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-two, weighing 180-190 pounds. The man has black hair, dark complexion and was wearing a black and red hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and black shoes.

Police advise residents to always be aware of their surroundings and walk in pairs or groups.
